Lagen Island Resort and Miniloc Island Resort, collectively known as El Nido Resorts, are located in the northern part of Palawan, Philippines. El Nido offers spectacular topside scenery of limestone cliffs and uninhabited islands. Underwater, expect to see a variety of habitats like coral reefs, mangroves, sea grass, muck, and interesting rock formations.
On the average, water temperature is at 28˚C but GOES down to 24˚C in December and January. Visibility is good – about 12 to 20 m average – but goes down during plankton bloom when the water gets cold.
Macro life is very good, with the occasional sightings of big pelagics.
El Nido Resorts also offers PADI Courses such as: Open Water, Advance, and Rescue Diving. Dive courses must be pre-arranged with the Sales and Marketing Office of El Nido Resorts and require at least five days to complete.
